Small things in life that make me smile

Been wanting to blog about this but I keep on putting it off for quite awhile now.
Anyway, regarding my trip to Europe a couple of months back, I flew to London with Yana but I had to fly back alone. Which included a transit of 3 hours in Dubai Airport all alone. Mum was all paranoid and asked me to sit at the gate right after I landed Dubai but nope, I walked around the airport trying on sunglasses pretending to be rich when in reality I only had 10 pounds and a few Malaysian Ringgit with me .

After walking aimlessly, I decided  to wait at the boarding gate since I didnt know where else to go. I was browsing through pictures on my camera when a chinese aunty sat beside me. I looked at her and smiled.

Aunty : " Are you flying alone ? " * peculiar look *
Me :   " Yes , I am. And you ? "
Aunty :  " Yeah, I visited my son at Manchester Uni. Do u mind looking after my stuff for awhile ? I need the loo  "
Me :    " Oh that's nice. I was from London. No , I dont mind "

10 mins later she came back with a sandwich for me saying that she was feeling hungry and thought I'd like one too.  Although Emirates feed us like we're going to starve during our flight, I could use something to munch . And then we continued to chat about how Im from UM and she was also from UM and stuff.

We parted ways in the plane as she was sitting far away from me. I was then seated beside an old british couple. One thing about me is when I fly, I always ask for window seat. Even though the aisle seat has better leg room ( as if my legs are super long la kan ) , I prefer the window seat so I could lean on it.

I dont know why I was so tired that I kept dozing off while watching the TV. The wife saw me and asked what I'd like to order so that I could rest and she'll wake me up when the food arrives.

And so she did. I later on continued sleeping and woke up an hour before arriving KL. Emirates gave us some biscuits and tea of which I only drank the tea.

The husband : " Aren't you gonna eat that ? "
Me : " Oh no, Im looking forward to my nasi lemak and Teh tarik back in KL. Do you want it ? "
The husband : " Only if you're gonna leave it here "
Me " Oh go ahead! I was going to leave it anyway. "
The wife : " You've been sitting down the whole way. Dont you need to stretch your legs ? "

I sheepishly nodded and went out . After we've landed they actually waited for me to get my luggage and made sure I met my parents before they went on looking for a cab.

I felt so blessed to have such nice people with me. My parents were quite nervous since I was all alone from London-Dubai-Kl but after I told them my story, they were also thankful. Ive heard a lot of scary stories of how people's belongings were stolen and stuff like that. Thank goodness I had a pleasant experience.

I hope Allah blesses those people who took such good care of me .
