Having hair that is as straight as mine is a blessing to some. Dont get me wrong, I love that I dont have to pay THAT much attention to my hair. Most of the time I would just comb through and leave it down. But looking for a hair stylist is a challenge for me. Most hair stylists like to make my hair super thin and even the smallest mistake can be obvious. Which is why im very particular with who is allowed to cut my hair.
All my life mum usually brings me for all my haircuts. When I was 13, mum brought me to Ada Maya. This salon might be familiar to some of you, especially if you live in Melawati area. A young indian man examined my hair and decided on my haircut. One thing about him, he's very hardworking and super caring about his customers. If you're his customer, he will wash , cut and blow dry your hair himself. He wants to be fully responsible for it. This is something rare in most hair stylists. Soon enough, I got used to him. He would not only cut my hair but also my dad's, mum's and sister's. Years went by when suddenly a rumour spread saying that he no longer worked there . I kept my hair long and had to go through many many manyyy disastrous haircuts.
One day dad came home with a brand new haircut and a huge smile on his face. Saying that he found the guy ! He has his own salon now. I was of course the happiest. The best part was he actually remembers how I like my hair to be styled. He was the only person I trusted to colour my virgin hair.
I kept telling my mum that i needed a haircut badly but I was waiting for my scholarship money to be banked in. I guess I was too little too late cause my sister texted me 2 days ago telling me that he had passed away of heart attack.
The saddest news is that he just got married last year and he is such a hardworking man. The only person i trusted my hair with for almost 9 years.
So Thank you , Pathi. May you rest in peace.
