So Yana and I arrived London on the 14th of September at about 12.30pm. We were from Dubai where we had to transit for 9 FREAKING hours. Obviously we were so restless by the time we reached Heathrow airport. I got my Oyster card and I love that I got the pretty casing as well as such a cute design for the card.(in case you dont know, its just like touch n' go card here) . We had to take the tube to yana's sister's house which was quite far from the airport and mind you, we had to change trains AND we had our luggage bags with us the whole time. There wasnt any escalators and we had to struggle with our bags up and down the stairs. Boy was it an adventure or what.
By the time we reached Along's ( yana's sister) , We we so tired but I was so darn excited that I wanted to go sight seeing straight away! It wasnt possible to go somewhere far cause it was about 4pm by the time we wanted to leave the house. We decided to go to Stratford. Where the Olympic stadium park is located at. No, I didnt go in , was too distracted by the big ass shopping mall! Also cause it was late by the time we arrived and they didnt let anyone in anymore.

After I went crazy in Primark ( YES PEOPLE I SHOP IN PRIMARK OKAY) , we headed back and called it a night. The next day we woke up super early and had everything planned for the day. Me being the typical Malaysian that I am, suggested that we headed to a food market. So Yana decided to bring me to Borough Market. Brace yourself for food pictures. . . .

First thing that came to mind : Ilda would love this |
Thank god the day got sunny during the afternoon. Was freezing in the morning. Dammit, now Im thinking about that grilled cheese sandwich. It was so bloody good. Pure melted cheese and bread. *wipes saliva*
Okay moving on. We then walked to London bridge. Which is not something I would recommend you to see cause its just basically a bridge. BUT I did like that you can clearly see the Tower bridge from there. We then went to Tower hill by tube. Upon arrival, I was captivated by the beautiful flowers at a park nearby.
We walked cross the tower bridge and funny thing was, while on the bridge we saw quite a number of people lined up along this yellow line and then suddenly something started beeping. Right after we were in the middle. What happend was, the bridge had to open up ( I dont know whats the correct term) to make way for the ships to pass through! It was my first time experiencing this and I thought it was so cool cause of what I saw on the opposite site of the bridge.

Inception part 2 ,much?

Later on we walked along southbank and decided to take the river cruise along Thames river and I just couldnt decided on which side to look. There were so many things for me to see! In view was St paul's cathedral, the tate museum , even the royal family made an appearance! .... on a poster.
|
I think this bridge was on Harry Potter or something , no? |
We then arrived at the London Eye! Yana wanted to go up, but I wasnt too keen cause Im sort of afraid of heights and I wanted to save the money for something else. So we just walked to Big Ben! It was sooooooo beautiful, I swear! Im so obsessed with the Big ben I dont know why. By the time we got there, it was late evening so the sun made the view even more beautiful!

So cute ! |
We then went to Covent garden. Its true they say, its where street artists get recognized! And some of them were really good!
So by the end of the night, we were so exhausted and we fell asleep the moment our head hit the pillow! Ill continue the part 2 of London soon!
