Sand everywhere

Ive heard so many things about Pulau Perhentian. However Ive never managed to get there before this. Somehow people keep saying that its too far, too dangerous yada yada. So this year I thought, fuck it. Im going there anyway. Syafiq and I went to Pulau Perhentian over the weekend. We took a flight to Kota Bharu on Friday and headed back to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. Yes, Kuala Besut( jetty to Perhentian) is located at Terengganu but trust me, its A LOT nearer if you land at Kota Bharu instead. Its a 45 mins drive and costs RM70 ( per cab).

Scenery changes within 2 hours ! 

So after you get to Pulau besut , a boat will take to to Pulau Perhentian kecil . (RM35 per person , 30 mins) Be prepared to get wet , or else you better sit in the middle of the boat and hold onto your luggage tight!

Syafiq and I stayed at a chalet called Shari-La Island Resort. Its located on Coral bay which is a quieter option than Long beach. The chalets are all solar powered and I must say with the amount of money that we paid, Its beyond my expectations ! Super comfortable, super cute too.

I highly recommend for you to stay here if you want a more secluded place to stay. Coral bay is about 10 mins walking distance from Long beach ( where the party is at ). PLEASE BRING A TORCH LIGHT. Im not kidding. You will have to walk through a PITCH BLACK jungle. Walk in groups too. I was holding onto Syafiq for dear life the whole way to Long beach. I told you Im a coward. The night life at Long Beach is superrrrbbbb. Dancing barefoot on the white sand with awesome music blasting through the speakers. Mmmhmm, amazing feeling I tell you.



What would my trip to the beach be without a snorkelling trip ? We were scheduled 2 snorkelling trips on the very same day. We swam from 10am - 5pm. The next day I couldnt feel my abs and arms anymore due to all the swimming. The corals are a lot more colourful than the ones at Tioman and Phuket. That Im definitely impressed with! Fishes are a lot more friendlier too. Somehow they're not afraid of me. Im pretty sure I saw a baby shark but I dont know. hahaha.

Told you the fishes are a lot friendlier. This one even decides to say hello to the camera.

 First time seeing turtles THIS huge. Poor beings were just minding their own business down there

If you're wondering how I took pictures underwater, I bought a waterproof phone cover from ACE Hardware for only RM10.90! 

I didnt bring along my dslr camera so these are the only pictures I have . Sorry for that. But I must say I had a really good time in Perhentian. Definitely will go back there for a longer trip.
