Had my one week mid semester break last week. A week that went by so darn fast. It was a lot more productive than I expected at least.

Had a short roadtrip to Penang with some of my close college mates. I think Malaysians just generally love Penang. Ive been going to Penang since I was a kid ( we used to make a stop after coming back from Perlis ) and even studied in Penang for a whole year but I still get excited during each of my trips. Its the perfect destination for short holidays. Basically to us Malaysians , Penang is like our food heaven. Its probably the only place that I would choose to eat at stalls over proper restaurants.

I know I may seem to make such a big deal about meeting Dato Siti Nurhaliza but to me, it really is. You've probably seen this picture across all of my social network profiles but I didnt actually specify why I got to meet her AT HER HOUSE. Basically you know she owns Simplysiti right ? So Simplysiti had a mini brainstorm challenge and invited a group of students to go up against their staffs to come up with a new product and marketing strategy. Similar to what I did for Loreal brandstorm. Only in a much much much smaller scale. And this one involves staffs to compete so obviously they had the advance of knowing what goes on in the organisation research and development wise.And they actually assembled the group for us and we only had 1 day to come up with new products with people we dont even know.   But nevertheless, it was such an honour to present in from of the team who then approached us and even asked us to join their workforce.

EDIT :  I actually forgot to write about meeting dato Siti herself. She is such a humble person and she sat with us throughout the whole session. You can tell that she genuinely cared about her staffs and her products.  I called her dato' all the way then she actually told me to call her " Kak" instead. She catered breakfast, lunch AND dinner for all of her participants. Even though it was held at her house , she wasnt all protective about it . We could walk or sit anywhere we liked. Dato' K was also there but we're not allowed to take a picture of him . He was also so nice too. Came and asked us about uni and everything. God bless this couple !


So that was how a week flew by so quickly . Was suppose to use the whole week to study for my mid term exams but nope, my lecture notes only followed me home to be kept in a corner without being touched. =)
